Guest guest
Hey Folks: I know New Balance athletic shoes are great and I also have had some success with Birkenstock sandals. I am looking for more other types of shoes that I could wear to work. The dressease site looks great, but they need not be that dressy or expensive: loafers, saddle shoes, any sort of flat other than a gym shoe would work (my work is pretty casual). I'm interested in peoples recommendations of shoes that will accomadate orthotics and/or AFO's. Thanks for any help anyone can offer. : ) Marti
Guest guest
Hi, Marti ... Geeze, I have tried Birkenstocks ... the soles are so thin that it feels as though I am walking on the bones of my feet. The padding on my soles is all atrophied, that's what causes the pain when I walk barefoot. Have you tried s shoes? They are made in England and they have casual as well as dress shoes. The casual ones have extra wide toe boxes ... I'm going to try a pair of these next. I have been wearing s dress shoes for years and they are about the only shoes I can wear, other than athletic shoes. s are expensive, about $135 a pair, but they wear like iron and last for years. You can find them at better shoe stores almost everywhere. Good luck ...
