This is very important that one should be very very careful about obtaining their medical advice from anything you see/read/hear about on the net! Reminds me of the cartoon that I recently saw where a patient goes to his doctor exclaiming that he was there to obtain a " second opinion " from his physician, implying that he got his " first opinion " from the internet! Just because it is written, especially on the internet, does NOT make it gospel! I think the 'net is a great resource to help us RLS'ers obtain knowledge, information, alternatives, treatment suggestions, etc........so as to empower us to be proactive in demanding, expecting and wanting proper and appropriate concern for our disorder and rightful treatment. The key here is education! Knowledge is power! Since RLS is relatively new and just now getting the proper respect and attention from the medical establishment, there is a sparse amount of scientific reference material available. However, that is changing quickly! Thank goodness! With the proper attention and with the proper funding of scientific research, I do believe that a cure for RLS will be found and I honestly believe that treatment regimens will get better and better! It is amazing how far we have come in just the last few years! Remember that the squeaky wheel gets greased.........so, let us RLS'ers make some noise and be proactive! Remember that we are not alone because there are millions and millions of people with RLS who suffer right along with us. IMHO RAINBOWPED@...
