Voluntary vs Involuntary Leg Movements

My leg movements are totally voluntary. I've had RLS all my life (I'm 44

now) and I have never had an involuntary twitch.et them with RLS) I just get

this uncomfortable urge - where I feel like I'll explode if I don't move my

legs. Movies, airplanes, sitting in a chair trying to read a book, lying in

bed - all RLS triggers. In college I used to run up and down the stairs all

night.

When I was a kid, I would kick in bed for hours on end - I'd count my kicks -

well up into the thousands before I'd give up.

For the past few days, my RLS has been bothering me in the morning. Took

Darvon, and was OK all day - didn't have to take another one - even at

bedtime - until last night. I found myself kicking and stretching from 1:30 -

2:30 am - and counting the kicks just like I did when I was small. Finally

took another Darvon.

I also always have RLS in BOTH legs - although I know some people get it only

in one - or have it worse in one leg.
