Guest guest
Hi jeanne (and anyone else on Permax), Finally saw my neurologist. YES he told me I DO have RLS and PLMD so the sleep study showed. DUH..like it cost that much to find out something I already knew? But my husband insisted I do the study. And the doc wouldn't prescribe anything unless I had the POLYSOMN>... A big frustration is I feel that the Prozac DOES make the rls worse. My regular doctor wouldn't take me off Prozac, said to talk to neurologist. Neurologist won't take me off Prozac, but said to talk to the doctor who prescribed it. As depression has been worse he suggested doubling my 20mg to 40mg a day. I am going back to my former doctors up in WA when I get there. At least I feel I am being heard. Double Prozac and the new stuff, Permax has left me relatively RLS free and depression free. HOWEVER, I JUST CAN'T SLEEP AT NIGHT. I am as exhausted all day almost as if I had a terrible RLS night. I have difficulty getting to sleep. I do take Prozac early am and Permax 2 hrs before bed. And then when my mind stops racing, I wake up every two to three hours to go to the bathroom, then take forever to fall back asleep. The Sinemet CR helped me have a refreshing nights sleep and I think I will try that or kava Kava tonight. Any opinions group? And we are sure glad Jodi you are really on the mend! , 48, less than 3 weeks to go in Nevada......
