Guest guest
<< when I highlight on the text I want to forward and hit reply the whole entire message still shows up. >> Maybe PCs are different. I've never had that happen with AOL, but I have a Mac. When you see the whole thing in your new message box, highlight the part you do NOT want and hit the delete key. That should remove everything you highlighted. Putting something between the parts to define the new and the old is helpful, such as a few ====== AFTER the quoted part. Other servers are different. With Hotmail I have to highlight what I want and paste it into the new message box. I don't know how many variations there are. I hope this helps. Kat I just recently learned that when a PCer puts something in Favorites it does not appear in alphabetical order!!! That's as much a nuisance as Netscape's bookmarks, etc. The Mac alphabetizes automatically, so the Favorite Places are easy to manage. Not only is our CMT inconsistent, so are our computers and the software!! Good grief.

Guest guest
<< On Windows you have an X in the upper right hand corner that closed out the program. You use this instead of going to File, and close. Is a quick short cut! And works immediately!! >> Thanks for the explanation. I have a tiny empty box on the left top corner to click and the window is gone immediately. LOL Kat
Guest guest
Hi Kat - Peggie here. On Windows you have an X in the upper right hand corner that closed out the program. You use this instead of going to File, and close. Is a quick short cut! And works immediately!! Guest guest
if you hold the mouse over the x in the top right corner, a flag should come down saying close. It is a shortcut for closing the program. Guest guest
> > Hi Kathleen! Thanks for helping with the messages. I just realised that I could do what you suggested after the " Edit " sign comes up. 1. I hit reply (then the whole previous message is transferred to the new e-mail.) 2. Press " Edit " Only then can I highlight what I do not want to send with the left mouse-tast and press " delete " , after pressing the right mouse-tast. 3. Then I can start on a clean page if I want to. (I'm just writing this down in case others need the information.) Thanks again! Nina Cat. By the way, I've seen questions about the X in the right hand corner. My X will close the web.page and go back to my personal e-mail program. Obviously it is different programs for different computers. Nina Cat.
