Guest guest
, Lamar here, At least for me I have the same. My feet are very numb and feel " asleep " . I can not feel light touch at all on them, but deep sensations seem to be more than they once were. Though I can, with care, walk with my cane or walker around the house without my AFO (short distances), I MUST have socks on or the least little thing like you describe HURTS. BTW, formerly I went bare footed nearly all summer, indoors and out.. I'll never forget the day a few months ago that a 50 pound bag of dry dog food burst and went all over the floor when I was about to pour it in a bin!! Yes I had socks, but they didn't help. LOL sensitive feet Hello to everyone, does anybody have sensitive feet, especially the soles of the feet? After my surgery I have the feeling that my feet are really sensitive. When I am walking on cat litter (which always is on our kitchen-floor because of our three cats), it hurts so much I could scream. Also my toes are very sensitive. I always thought just a loss of feeling in the feet would be " normal " . I have heard of people who didn' t notice they had a nail in their sole. Could it be that you first get more sensitive befor you lose any sensitivness? Bye, ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guest guest
To this day, I have extremely sensitive feet. I have to wear shoes with cushioning like tennis shoes or slip on canvas shoes that have rubber sole. I have had the triple arthodesis also. I used to have a build up on each side of my shoes to make my tendon in the front stretch. I developed bunions under my little toes and if I just step on something just right it would send a sharp pain up the leg. Sometimes it would make my knee go out and I'd be on the floor....I no longer wear a build up that only lasted about two years after surgery. Guest guest
Gretchen, Have you ever had your foot looked at by a podiatrist. This sounds like Neuropathy. Gretchen Glick wrote: Hello , After I had foot surgery (as a kid)) and then tried to walk, I thought I would die! My feet, either in shoes or out of them when I walked felt like they were being stung on the bottom by jellyfish! Gradually that went away, although to this day, thirty some odd years later, if I am barefoot and even walk out on my patio, I really feel a sort of 'sting'! That is why I have to wear shoes outside! And for some comfy slipper type shoes, easy on and off I wear Ugg Boots. Lightweight, with soft lambskin inside. My feet ARE very sensitive. If anything, I have not lost feeling in them, but gained it - maybe to the point of oversensitivity! Guest guest
Hi again ! Yes, my feet are also very sensitive, and I have like a burning feeling under my feet. But at the same time I can hurt my toes so the nail go blue, without noticing. Strange isn't it? The burning-sensation is spesially bad when I go to bed. PS! I got cat-litter on my citchen-floor every morning, but I try not to walk on it! How are your " babies " ? Right now I have my kitten settled on my lap, and the Siamese at my feet. Good company, aren't they? I love them to bits! Take care, Nina Cat.
Guest guest
Hi. Marc here. This is one of the things I have always struggled with: sensitive feet. It takes a minute or two for me to feel the pain, but then I'm nearly thru the roof! Even with the smallest bump or stepped on object. And it then takes a while for the pain to subside. Very strange. Only happens with my feet. I usually wear shoes. My armor.
