Where is the positive value of tearing down a whole therapy which some

people find to be effective?

I just don't understand why anyone feels the need to bad mouth something

that some one else found to work for them. If I say my self-hypnosis works

for me, there's no reason I can think of for anyone to go into a tirade

against self-hypnosis. If I tell everyone it's the 100% answer to RLS and

everyone should buy my self-hypnosis book for $50...then I'd understand

some soap boxes being stood upon. I might not like prescription meds. I

might even be totally against them. But if someone says they get relief

from a prescripton med, I'm sure not going to go into a huge tirade with

all the reasons that prescription meds are harmful and useless.

I'd like to see us speak of positive therapy results, and only bring in

negative things when they are constructive....like where they help us avoid

danger to our health, or help us spend a little less money at what we are

already intent on trying. I appreciated Jack's suggestion for the

Homedic's vibrator over the more expensive brands. But I'm REALLLLY glad

that no one went into a tirade about how vibrators are the most ridiculous

therapy for RLS in existence. If you've tried something, like homeopathic

meds and they didn't work, feel free to tell us what you tried and what the

problem was that you were trying to cure. And tell us what negative side

effects occurred. You can even tell us why YOU were were disappointed.

But there's not need to tear down every homeopathic remedy out there.

Like I said, just one question, " Where is the positive value of tearing

down a whole therapy which some people find effective? "
