I tend to believe the letter from the doctor and believe the company's who sell

these products are paying some doctors to discredit these claims. My reason is a

personal one; I have had very adverse reaction (defiantly tested myself and

linked to the products containing artificial sweeteners especially Aspartame) to

aspartame and have very low tolerance for it; I believe I HAVE ENOUGH OVER THE

YEARS THAT IT HAS BUILT UP IN MY SYSTEM TO THE POINT IT CAN DO REAL DAMAGE NOW

EVEN A SMALL AMOUNT.

I'd rather be safe than sorry, and have not touched a Diet Coke in about two

years since my first bout in ER and they couldn't find anything wrong with me;

but I literally felt like I was coming off a drug or something. . convulsions,

stomach and abdomen pain and severe swelling like I was 6 months PG. This all

came on suddenly and after having Diet Coke ; have had other times its happened

since then, and traced it back to eating pancake syrup containing these

products. (unknowingly) I read all labels now and am very careful to keep from

ingesting anything with these products which is hard for its in a lot of things

you wouldn't suspect.

Everyone must make their own choices and decisions, but at least be cautious and

forewarned when you might be able to avoid trouble!

Sincerely Libby
