I though I was nuts, that's why I wrote to the group., and here 3-4 people have answered saying it works for them. Well, I guess if I have a really bad night, I won't feel bad about trying coffee. Sleepy Time Tea, etc. just makes me make extra trips to the " loo " . Sunday 8:40 PM. Had another bad night last night, made myself another cup of coffee and slept till 10AM. I'm mystified, but a little more rested. Had to save this till the next day, I got bumped off line and couldn't get back on. Sorry. Guest guest
Diane, I have had similar experiences with caffeine. If a drink more than one cup of coffee per day, my rls and insomnia get considerably worse. However, if I drink a cup of coffee at 4 or 5 in the morning (after a no-sleeper) I can often nap (on the sofa) for a couple of hours. My theory is that rls gets most severe, for me, when I am totally relaxed. The immediate jolt of caffeine undoes the relaxed state long enough to stop the rls and let my body sleep. Unfortunately, this does not always work, but on those few occasions, it is most welcome,
