Good evening, Dr. Levin.

I am on the digest version, so I decided to write about several items at once

rather than send several emails.

First of all, thank you very much for doing the footwork on Neurontin. I was

going to do it after plowing through all the email, but I really appreciate

your saving me the time.

Concerning your email re. RLS and Rheumatoid Arthritis, I believe you said

that there was no real evidence of a relationship between the two unless there

was nerve damage. I know I'm about to really show my ignorance, but I thought

that RLS was nerve damage. I'm probably never going to understand why my legs

won't behave...I just know they're a real PAIN!!!

In one of your emails you mentioned that after surgery it seemed that your RLS

moved to the area that was inflamed. The day before Thanksgiving, I had

arthroscopy on my right knee, and as long as I was on Vicodin, I had no RLS.

However, when I came off the medication, the RLS was focused in the area

around my right knee. Prior to that time, it was almost always the left leg

that bothered me the most when I was relaxed. RELAXED!!! What is that? :-))

Thanks for your time.
