Guest guest
As I've been reading messages on the subject I got to thinking (dangerous thing for me to do). I've been reading " The Complete Cheapskate " by Hunt and last evening I sat down with a new 3 column book and began setting up my " Freedom " account. It's where you list all your irregular payments (taxes, insurance etc) a page for each and figure how much to list for each of the 12 months. You start a separate checking account (the freedom account) and have the bank deposit the amount you specify each month (if you're paid monthly) in that account. That way whenever one of the irregular payments comes due (like a quarterly tax payment) you have the money to pay without fracturing your other checkbook. I've explained it badly but anyhow I got so absorbed in what I was doing that for two hours sitting still my legs were blissfully quiet. BUT this is my point. When I first sat down I had no symptoms of RLS. In other words if my legs are quiet and I set about doing something quiet that demands my total concentration my legs remain quiet. IF MY LEGS ARE STARTING TO BUZZ IT IS TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO CONCENTRATE ON ANYTHING BUT THE MISERY GROWING INSIDE MY LIMBS. Incidentally, I don't have any cataclysmic debts but I've found a lot of info to help me manage better than I have been. I got the book by ordering online from Amazon. CHEERS!! Jeanne and Mr. Biggles in Poultney VT I was given the hairy eyeball by my NP last Monday for not exercising enough so this morning I'm off to the pool at Castleton State College. It's nice to plunge into a 84 deg pool inside while through the windows I can see snow outside.
