Hi Becca, Ruth W. here,

You've lost 70 lbs??? Way to go girl! Congratulations on a fantastic job.

You are already a winner! I like the idea of a " buddy " system. I need the

encouragement to get back into regular exercise (and STAY in the routine.)

While I'd like to lose about 15 lbs, my most critical need is for regular

exercise. I used to exercise regularly before my 3 kids were born. Now I

haven't done anything on a regular basis in 12 years. I've always thought

moderate exercise can benefit the CMTer. The key is finding the exercise

that works for you. Anyone else out there interested in weight management

and exercise buddies like Becca suggested???

Becca

Congratulations....70 pounds...that is GREAT!!! I

really need to lose about 50 to 60 pounds. I just get

so discouraged at times, but I know I would feel so

much better and it would be great for my legs. I love

the idea of a Buddy System/Encouragement Group. How

can we start?

Hi Becca and others. This is from . Congradulations on loosing the

70lbs. Wow!!! That gives me insentive. I need to loose weight too and a group

would help with that. I was on prednisone and never was able to loose the

gained weight. I should be walking but don't feel well so I skip it.

Regardless, the walking will help and the doctor said to stay active. I have a

treadmill with bars to hold on to. I use it sometimes to exercise my feet. I

would rather walk outside. However, I am not suppose to walk without someone

with me even with my AFO's on because I still fall too much. But the treadmill

is OK and suppose to be better for me. We could all support each other. I have

some other problems too but I will make a separate listing for that. I also

need to stay away from the sweets. I have a terrible sweet tooth. I really

crave the sweets when I am not feeling well but I don't need the excusues

either. I think with support we will not get so easily discouraged.
