Hi Ruth. Peggie here. So sorry for your problems! What a mess. I think I

would have cried! But at least you did not fall into it! That's probably

what I would have done.....

In response to your question..... I use only light weight cook ware - if I

can't lift it - I won't cook in it! So only light weight pans for the

stove..... no cast iron like my husband thought everyone should use! And,

if I am having a " weak leg " day or a " weak hand " day, I have him do the

lifting and carrying. Or, if I do it my self, boy am I careful. And,

again, I try to use light weight casserole dishes, and I use those extra

long oven mitts that cover you way up past your wrists, as I just can't

handle a burn of any kind. They kind of help with gripping stuff. The

casserole dishes I use all have handles on them. But, again, if it's the

large ones, I get someone else to lift and carry.....
