Do you know an artistic individual who is seeking fame, fortune and

national exposure of their work? Courage Center in Minneapolis has a

way for artists to publish their art and gain national exposure while

supporting people with disabilities. Courage Center is conducting a

national art search to find artwork for their holiday cards and gifts.

The profit from the sale of the cards supports programs for people with

disabilities. Courage invites all artists and especially those with a

disability to submit works to the 2001 Courage Cards Art Search.

The 2001 Courage Art Search seeks art suitable for holiday cards

including: Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Year's. Major city scenes,

world peace and ethnic diversity artwork is also needed.

Two-dimensional artwork is selected based on artistic merit,

marketability, suitability of subject and color. A licensing fee of

$350 will be paid to the artist for each work of art chosen, in addition

to national exposure through the distribution of more than 500,000

catalogs and promotional pieces, radio and print advertising.

Courage Cards are produced from original art and are sold to benefit the

programs and services of Courage Center. Since 1928, Courage Center has

provided comprehensive rehabilitation, enrichment, vocational,

independent living, and educational services to people with physical

disabilities and sensory impairments so they can live more independent

lives. Each year, more than 20,000 people come to Courage Center to work

to achieving their full potential. The sale of Courage Cards and Gifts

helps support these programs, and the continuing success of Courage Card

and Gift program is due to the many fine artists who are willing to

share their talents to help others.

Entries will be accepted from May through July 31, 2000. For a copy of
