Guest guest
Ah yes, here's one for you all to chew on. This person, as a child, had the " fidgets " . It came and went and finally faded until years later she got pregnant and the " fidgets " returned at a gallop. She endured it all through her pregnancy, went through natural childbirth and still enduring she nursed her infant. After some months the " fidgets " faded some but never entirely went away. As the years sped by the symptoms grew stronger and finally grew to be a major malady not only preventing any kind of meaningful sleep but interrupting her daily life to the point where she couldn't attend church, any kind of meeting, take a trip by air or auto without agony or even watch a movie or an evening of TV, sit still long enough to read a couple of chapters of a book etc. She found out that RLS has affected at least three generations of her family on the maternal side. So maybe it's inherited. OR MAYBE it could be classified as trauma induced as she got it BIG TIME when she went through the trauma of childbirth (and unless you're knocked out, believe me guys it is a trauma!!!!!!!!!!). OR MAYBE it's a combination of both, inherited (genetic) and made infinitely worse by trauma. Whatever the cause I just wish that in my lifetime, research will come up with some answers and we won't have to die guessing. CHEERS!!
