Guest guest
Oh, God, June........ What an adventure! Please don't listen to those doctors at all as far as venturing from the hospital. It's so different for them when they live in the area. Washington is notorious for getting lost in, can be very dangerous I understand, and it is a veritable maze! It breaks my heart to think of you wandering around the streets like that in the dark. I would have called a cab and gotten out of there fast! I wish I lived a little closer so I could have joined you for the afternoon. If you keep coming, we will have to arrange that. If my social schedule ever slows down and if I start to feel better otherwise, I MAY consider doing the NIH thing myself....notice I said MAY. Do they plan to treat you as their patient and have you return to them regularly? That should be interesting, if they do. Any side-effects from the Permax? I never took it but if you do get symptoms, I understand they may go away after a week or two. I've heard that you have to start Permax slowly and stop it slowly......and not take too high a dose. I'm afraid that's all I know about it. What you need if you continue to go, is a good map of the whole area, and the transportation system. Well, I'm so glad your second trip is over, and I thank you again on behalf of the whole group for your participation in this research. I'm really glad this next trip isn't going to keep you in the hospital for Christmas! What are they looking for....just an RLS patient to participate in a conference with the doctors for the day? Get some rest now , Dear......you surely deserve it. Connie
