Hello all:

I guess I should probably introduce myself, since I've already posted

one message to the list...:)

My name is Jeff...I haven't been formally diagnosed with RLS yet, but

I have what appear to be the symptoms of it. One of these days I'll

have to make it to the doctor and ask him about it...it's just finding

the time to go in to see him.

I have yet to find anything that completely helps my symptoms on my

own, but keep trying different things...I find myself forced to stay

awake until around 4am when finally these " creepy-crawlies " settle

down so I can get to sleep. I'm unemployed right now, so I don't have

any " set-in-stone " time when I have to be awake...but I'm actively

seeking a job, and I know the time will come when I have to figure out

SOME way to get myself to sleep at a decent hour! It seems that my

feelings of discomfort don't really adhere to anything other than a

chronological time table...I've tried altering my sleeping and waking

habits to a certain degree, only to find that I ALWAYS have problems

between around 10 at night and 4 in the morning. ARRRRGH!

My fiancee has recommended I try taking iron supplements, but after

hearing what can happen to your body if you don't actually NEED those

supplements, I'm really leery about it...but I'm wondering if I should

give them a try for a week or so to see if there is any improvement.

Well...can't really sit still any longer. Gonna wander around the

house and see if MAYBE I'll be able to push myself to sleep by 2:30 or

3 this morning. To be honest, I don't know for sure that the tinglies

even stop at 4 am, or if they just subside long enough for me to get

to sleep...I'm such a heavy sleeper that physical discomfort won't

USUALLY rouse me...it just keeps me from GETTING to sleep to begin

with.

Take care, all.

Jeff
