Guest guest
Hi Everyone, It's truly sad that two people have been taken off the list for writing about " NON RLS STUFF " and then I sit here and read through 10 letters all about NON RLS STUFF!!!! It seems to me that it's alright to write about NON RLS Stuff if you are one of the people who are " liked " ? I guess since I am now adding to the so called problem by writing my own NON RLS letter I suppose I will get a warning. It will have been worth it. I also think that if you have a computer that makes you upload all your mail before you can read or delete it....it's time for either A. a new computer or B. a new ISP! I myself enjoy reading all kinds of mail on here. I used to frequent the chat rooms, now I spend most of my free time reading here. I rather enjoy our group and like to here about all the things that people have on there minds and what they feel is important to include in their notes. ( the weather, ads for there personal web pages or even the whole pages that get sent to EVERYONE saying simply....ditto! ) OBTW! My RLS has been really horrible the last 2 weeks and I always find it a relief to know that there are others who know what I feel. Peace to all, Brynn

Raine and All: Let me just make a quick comment on what has been happening here and from this point on, I will not intervene unless it is absolutely necessary. 1) I guess that by saying " non-RLS " subjects, I was basically referring to the messages posted to the group in response to what someone else has said (usually something that has ticked someone off). These should be directed to the person that posted the message in the first place instead of the whole group. 2) As for removing several members from the list, I would like to make it clear that there are alot of things that happen in the background that none of you are aware of. I usually have between 70-100 messages a day (including those from the list) and most of them are complaints about other group members or a problem that they are having, or something along that line. I have to take all of this into consideration and use it to make my decision as to whether or not to remove a person from the list. This was the primary reason that these people were removed from the list. When there is someone in the group that is constantly raising a ruckus, whether it be in group posts, or private messages sent to other group members, in my opinion, that needs to be stopped. Plus, I get really tired of getting complaints and when I get a dozen or so from different people all having to do with the same person, I have to take some sort of action. > I also think that if you have a computer that makes you upload all your mail > before you can read or delete it....it's time for either A. a new computer or > B. a new ISP! On this subject, I have found out from my own personal experience, as I also have an AOL address which I receive the digest format of the list from, that when the digest is over a certain size, you have to download it as a text file before you can view it. It can be a pain and that's why we have always asked that members try to copy the " pertinent " parts of a message that they are responding to instead of the entire message. The less text in the message, the less size of the digest for those who receive only that version. Besides, I know that there are quite a few people that can't afford to just go out and buy a new computer. > I myself enjoy reading all kinds of mail on here. ( the > weather, ads for there personal web pages or even the whole pages that get > sent to EVERYONE saying simply....ditto! ) > I don't have a problem with anything that you said above, other than the DITTO part, the only complaint that I have is messages that are sent to the group that are better sent to the person in private. This IS a place to share and since this disorder effects so many parts of our daily lives, there are other things to discuss and " vent " about that alot of us can relate to. If you agree with something that someone says in a post to the group, let them know, not the whole group. > > OBTW! My RLS has been really horrible the last 2 weeks and I always find it > a relief to know that there are others who know what I feel. > Well, mine's kicked back in, too, so I can definitely relate to that. Gonna start trying the A to B Calm, can't hurt, so what the heck? I hope that what I've tried to explain here has made some sense. I'm going to stick around and handle the " running " of the group, but I just hope and pray that we can get this group back to what it used to be, that's all I ever wanted anyway. I apologize for coming off so hard in my last message to the group, but it had been a very bad day for me after only getting a little less than two hours of sleep and then having to work 13 hours on top of having to take care of other things that were going on at home (i.e. the place is falling apart-electrical problems) but that's what you get when you buy a 50 year old house that needs work, when it rains, it pours!! The messages that I received when I got home from work just sent me through the roof, and I did something that I've preached against for so long, just whacked out a message and sent it while I was still angry, and for that, I apologize. Restful Nights to all of you, Jodi
