Guest guest
I happen to come across this statement while I was researching Sinemet and wondered if any in our group using this medication would find it interesting: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------- I too have read about the conflict between eating proteins and the absorption of sinemet. My father has had PD for 10 years and since he is staying with me for a few weeks I've decided to try out this diet on him. Yesterday he ate toast with jam and fruit for breakfast(normally he eats peanut butter), then a vegetable sandwich for lunch and finally at dinner he had chicken. What a difference! His tremors were small, not large movements and his balance seemed better(no cane was needed). Mind you this is only one day but I'll keep him on this diet for a week, if he'll let me! By the way, twice I've asked his Neurologist about delaying the proteins until his supper meal and he has dismissed the idea as non-conclusive.
