Guest guest
Jack asked: i almost always twitch and spasm and am most uncomfortable at almost this exact time every evening..........is this typical of most of us and why do you think this happens??? ---------------------------------------------------------- Long, long time ago I used to get RLS only in bed or at movies - or places like that where I had to sit for long periods of time. Later, I had it all the timey - used to wake me up in the mornings - and I'd have it all day. (and of course all night) Now I notice that while I usually don't get it until I get in bed at night, occasionally it does hit at other times - and it seems to be cyclical for instance the past 3 days I have had it first thing in the morning - but not at night (until last night - then I did have a recurrance at night) Other times I'll get it earlier in the evening - say at 8:00 - but again, it is cyclical - I'll get it at the same time for a few days.... Why this happens: I wish I knew. This beast has been bugging me for longer than I can remember..... My worst attacks were - - a t my first Broadway play when I was 9. I had to go stand in the back - my mother told me it was cause I was excited. NOT! (For many years after that I saw movies only standing in the back) - at a concert when I was 15 - I was with my sister and we were in the last row - against the wall - furthest seat from the aisle - now if I can't get an aisle seat - I don't go) - in highschool at a meeting for being class rep after graduation. Some woman was going on about how " we print wedding announcements, but not engagement announcements ... " as I was digging my nails into my leg to try to make that pain worse than the RLS sensation - and trying to do isometric exercises without anyone noticing and thinking GET ME OUT OF HERE - I HAVE TO MOVE - on a flight from Salt Lake City to New York - and I had I miscounted my meds - had plenty waiting at home - but none for the flight -- I thought I would die - The stewardess kept yelling at me - I was sitting on my legs trying to make them numb. This was perhaps the worst of all. I've had it just about every day of my life - some days/months/years even worse than others - but these incidents really stick out. (Well, I did have about a year-long remission when I was on Depakote - but had to stop that because of side effects) Just now waiting for the Darvon to kick in (so I can stop kicking - lol) Thanks for listening 44 NY
