>Dear Greg Yes animals walking on bed. I have often thougth that my cat

was walking on my bed and worse yet before a cat I had those strange

sensation of some thing moving on my bed and had to shase scarey

thoughts out of my head. I had no idea that my legs were moving so

slightly that sensation was coming from my legs.My neurologist reported

back to my doctor that I " have a substantial problem with leg movements

and this should be first aspect of her sleep related disorderwhich is

addressed. The Apneas and hypopneas is really minimal compared to other

individuals with these problems. My leg movements were seen at a rate af

54.6 movements per hour. " And he said that " this patient has remarkably

disruptive sleep cycle " .

It always took me a very long time to fall asleep and I had to get up

often. Before the sleep clinic results came out a PA told me to just

stay in bed not to get up and I tried to tell him how hard that would be

for me that I just thave to get up and move around. So now I am falling

asleep and staying asleep most of the night with help of Klonopin. And

when the cat does walk on the bed and want out I don't feel it my

husband has to let him out and I never hear him get up . I hope you get

relief Greg and thank you others for your storys of good results so far

with this drug Klonopin. I am not advocating this drug for all.I am just

so pleased to be sleepin gwell fo rth efirst time in my life even if it

is just for awhile untill I can restore my body with some deep rest. It

will help my whole out look on life and things.

Sincerely yours Jeanie Stout

>Subject: RLS 1st Diagnosis

>Hello folks, my name is Greg and I have just been diagnosed with RLS.

It does make sense that this may be causing my sleeping problems. I am

usually awakened at night by what feels like my pets walking on my bed.

But, after awakening I discover that it is not the pets it's me jumping

and kicking. My legs feel like the muscles are contantly having to be

moved in order to stretch them out of they continue to ache endlessly.

Is this a symptom of RLS? At work my legs ache to the point that I have

to get up and walk around before they stop hurting. Another symptom? I

am very unfamiliar with this and have read some material on it that I

have found on the Internet. This is all very helpful. My Doctor has

begun a prescription of Simetec (sp) once before bed and then one after

2 to 3 hours if the problem persists. Has anyone else been started on

this regimin and found that it just did not do the job? RIght now, I

dread having to lay down and try to sleep. I know it will take be

several
