Barb,

You really are an enthusiastic participant in this group, and your work has

been such a great benefit to everyone. We have all learned so much from

your files and hope to continue to do so.. I trust you won't take people

questioning your files too personally.

Since we seem to be having problems with people not having time to go through

all the mail, I think we should at least attempt to address this problem for

them. It's not just a matter of deleting something if you don't want to read

it for the digest people. You have to understand that the digest is a

listing of every letter that is written to the group that day, without the

address or the bother of opening and closing each one individually. It just

assumes that you want to read them all.

So if there are 37 letters on a given day, they are all listed as if they

were one huge letter. Now imagine a few very large files inserted into

this........or maybe 10 of them having double letters following along behind.

This makes the digest so big that these people have to wait for the list to

download because it is too large to receive as a normal letter.

Many of us have the time for this or to view our mail in the regular listing,

but a lot of our group members work and they're tired when they come home and

don't have a whole lot of time to keep up with things.......or they may be on

a borrowed computer ........and it's just a shame to have the digest be twice

as long as it needs to be. The reason they chose this form was to save

time........

As I said previously, when someone asks for information on a certain subject

it would be great if anyone holding large, informative files would just send

a letter telling that they have this information and would be happy to send

it personally to anyone who sends them a request.

Thanks again~!!!

Connie
