Guest guest
Coco, My only experience with taking iron/folic acid for RLS was in 1989 during my pregnancy when the RLS was keeping me awake all night and occuring during the daytime/evening hours when I was sitting. My obstetrician doubled my vitamin intake to increase the iron and folic acid when I described to him what was happening. He did not say he knew about RLS but did seem familiar with the symptoms and at that time I did not know that it had a name and that other people suffered from it. The increased dosage did not help and I did not pursue this at that time thinking that it was just me and I would have to live with it. My thinking is that during the pregnancy, which aggravated the RLS to the extreme, that perhaps the iron/folic acid should have been increased even more to be effective. So, for someone who is not pregnant, the addition of iron/folic acid may be more effective. I wish I could offer you more Lynn GA
