Guest guest
Hi Danieta and Kathy, I also tried to go back to work and it was so exhausting for me and I was in quite a bit of pain at the time ( I was also on meds then too for the pain but didn't help much) but I wanted so much to be able to keep up my same pace but couldn't. I really have to watch what I do and how much or I can get myself down for days at a time......so far I am doing pretty good and I don't beat myself up anymore either for not trying to get everything done in a short amount of time take housework for example......there is always tomorrow if I don't get something finished. Guest guest
Don't give up! I haven't. I've quit dropping on the scales too. My Ketosis has stopped and my diet hasn't changed. It is discouraging but I've made it so far following the rules. I can't say about the protein shakes as I drink mine religiously daily (3 - 4 of them). Just don't give up! Betty Re: Digest Number 279 I've been so discouraged with my last five months of weight loss, or lack there of, that I've abandoned all my WLS contacts. I just hit delete when I see WLS in the subject line. I haven't tried multiple shakes however. So here I am to try again. On November 11th I will be one year out. I've lost 97 lbs. and I have about 130 more to goal. I've amended that goal to 70 more pounds to lose. However, that too seems an impossible task. This past three months I've lost about 2 lbs. I find little time to exercise, but I have been working out at a gym 2-3 times a week for the past 6 months ( less the last 6-8 weeks). While I admit to feeling somewhat better (as in stronger), I lost no more weight. I'm very happy about the 97 lbs. but I really need to get some more weight off to reduce some of the stress from some very damaged legs/back. My question is, if I add more drinks daily will this assist in weight loss at this point of my WLS journey... or am I too far out? Another question....I am still losing hair... when will it stop? I even got a perm to cover up some of my shinny scalp that is peeking thru. Any ideas? Thanks a bunch for any ideas. Sharren 11/20/01 360 lbs. Dr. Weber, 's Hospital Current Wt. 263 lbs. Guest guest
Zinc helps protein absorb. Good to get labs after a fee weeks to be sure you're not OD on zinc or could use a little more. PS Having zinc levels drawn is a nuisance,. Most labs don't know you have to use special tubes, and jump through a coupla hoops. Expect to go back a 2nd time.
