Guest guest
Dear Gretchen, You come with a lot of great questions...thanks! I think it helps us see how similar we are and that we are not alone in this boat! Hugs, Becca ******* I have had people comment and tease me my WHOLE life about my walking, my feet, my tremors, so many things related to the effects of the disease. Even my kids say I walk Different, although they do not tease me in any derogatory way. We have laughed together watch my 11 yr. old imitate my walk. Humor is a must to get through life in general. It hurts less if you can coat the emotional pain in a bit of humor. As a kid, I could not do this at all and it was very hard on me emotionally. I was an adult before I began to learn coping strategies for life in general. ******* Also, it is important for me to recognize my abilities and my limitations and pace myself and cherish the positive and let go of the negatives. If I know I am doing my best and someone else is thinking that I am not--- I will know the difference and know the reality and truth of the situation and do what is best for me, because I know what I am doing is best for me. ******* If I do NOT take care of me-- no one will! Thanks Gretchen again! HUGS TALK SOON! http://www.onelist.com/subscribe/CMTweightmanagement being made fun of > > > Has anyone been made fun of because of the way you walk?
