Guest guest
Hi, Cindy ... I told a nurse friend about my recent diagnosis of CMT. Her first reaction was: " Gosh, ... its a good thing you stopped smoking, because smoking really makes CMT a lot worse. " I quit cigarettes in 1972. Hope this is helpful. Guest guest
Hi Cindy, Nerves. Smoking, drinking coffee, effects the nerves. Also, to a degree they can restrict the blood vessels. I just found out I had a blood clot in my leg and before the evaluation(ultrasound) they had to wonder if CMT was the problem. So CMT always seems to be in the picture. I do agree with your Doctor. I'm sure that will make him feel a lot better :-)
