Guest guest
Rita, It took me about 4 days/nights to get rid of the Klonopin and its effects. I was only on 0.5 mg at bedtime, so the low dosage helped. The suggestion from Jill to try DHA/neuromins was the best thing that has ever happened to my RLS. The DHA stands for docosahexaenoic acid. It is essential formental and visual function, and is theprimary structural fatty acid in the gray matter of the brain and retina of the eye. (I'm reading from the label on the bottle.) It is an omega-3 fatty acid. Usually these are rderived from fish oils, but the neuromins in this product provide the only vegetarian source of DHA. Jill and I got ours from a mail order health place called Puritan's Pride (I think it is in KY), but now I see three or four different brands of the same product in the New Life Health store here in Tucson. All come in 100 mg softgels. I take two softgels AM and PM. Good luck with them! They have been a lifesaver to me! I also tried someone else's Tyl PM..... two at bedtime, 1500 mg of calcium, 500 mg of magnesium, 60 mg of gingko biloba AM and PM, and daily iron to increase my ferritin level. I get about five hours of sleep now, which I can live with. I have Percoset on hand to take 1/2 tablet if/when my legs take a notion, but that, thank God!, seems to be happening less and less often. Another thing that may be having some effect............. because of diverticulosis and a recent fifth bout with that, I got in touch with an herbalist on a friend's recommendation. So now I'm taking MORE herbs for that, which may also be having some quieting effect of the RLS. Hope this has been helpful. am, 76, Tucson ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
