Guest guest
Hi group, I had microgyn, a light birthcontrol pill to regulate my too many, too heavy periods, 2 yrs ago.I stopped after 8 weeks, because of the migraines. The connection was obvious. A question, maybe for our gp (group practionner)dr. Levin, or anyother who has an answer, paresthesia was mentioned as a complication of rls, I forgot who did,I would like to read about that, does anyone know a site where I can? I couldn't find it sofar. Thanks in advance, Marleen
Guest guest
Marleen There is no question that estrogen therapy is associated with migraine headaches in some women. In others, estrogen therapy has given relief from migraines. Dosage reduction sometimes helps reduce the incidence of migraine. I mentioned paresthesias and RLS. Paresthesias are defined as abnormal, spontaneous (don't need a stimulus) sensations such as burning, tingling and pins and needles. They are not a complication of RLS, but are a prominent symptom of RLS. The infamous " creepy-crawly feelings " are paresthesias. When someone described their " itching " as feeling like pins and needles, I said that that is more likely an RLS associated paresthesia than typical itching.
