HI fellow RLSers!

My RLS has been getting worse over the past few days. (And I have a 7 hour

flight on Sunday!!!! Oh, Joy!

Had a minor problem at the movies earlier today - looked for some Darvon but

couldn't find it - but that was OK - like I said - it was minor.

Later in the day I had a MAJOR attack. Tried stretching, walking and even

concentration (glad that last one works for SOME people - I am however not

one of those people) So I took Darvon - and I was fine. (about 5:30 pm)

Got in bed an hour ago -trying to race through a mystery that is due at the

lbrary tomorrow (actually was due 3 days ago - but tomorrow is last chance to

retrurn it before the trip - and I have alot more to read. - Another MAJOR

attack. I hate to take the Dravon twice in a day (I take 2 at a time - one

doesnt do anything. And I've found that if I take one and it doesn't work,

taking a second one doesnt help - I have to take the two together. My

nuerologist tried to explain why that is but I don't remember.

I'm really tired - been up since 6am - it is now almost 2:30 am - and I just

want to read - and read - and read! But my legs have dancing in mind. (Too

bad I can't dance - I mean it IS Friday night.) I'll probably have to look at

the end of the book to see who the killer is.....

I even tried my foot massager that never fails me. Make that " had never failed

me before "

I think I will try the Depakote again - my RLS had been in check for over a

year with that. But I stopped it to see if I was any less ....schitzy, dumb

(as in mind in slo-mo) and klutzy without the depakote.

Well, there was some improvement - but I think I'd rather be schitzy, dumb and

klutzy and be able to sit still for longer than 30 seconds. (Although, to be

perfectly honest, I've never been a particularly calm, reasonable, graceful

prson.

So I'm taking Darvon for the plane - I'll take it propholacticly (sp?) for

the flight.

And I'll take the Depakote with me - and perhaps try that again while I'm away

(Don't need the Darvon when the Depakote works)

Well, thanks for listening.. I have to go read 300 pages in the next half

hour.

Hope you're all sleeping well

- 43 (feeling so much older - maybe I'm just mature for my age!!) NYC

I'm glad you had results with the Depakote. My neuro prescribed it for

migraines

along with the .5 mg Mirapex and 1mg. Klonipin at bedtime. Took the Depakote

for

about a week and began noticing bruises I didn't have before and in unlikely

places that could have been bumped. Read up on the Depakote and found out it

could cause thinning of the blood. So, I dropped it, and still haven't had a

Migraine--for a month--ever since the _Neuro_ told me not to take Premirin. (had

a

hysterectomy in October). Neuro told me to take as little hormones as possible

because of the headaches. On that note, I did not see any increase in my RLS

after the hysterectomy, just an increase in my weight!!!

Take care
