When I was first diagnosed with RLS and my neck problems, the neurologist gave

me

Relefan (a non-steriodal anti-inflammatory that is " supposed " to be kind to the

GI

tract.) I agree, it helped both my shoulder and arm pain and my leg pain.

However, three months later I had a fairly significant rectal bleed. No

preceding

symptoms to speak of, just sudden onset of pain, then diarrhea, then bleeding

which lasted two days. So for those of you out there that find that Ibuprofen,

Alieve, or the other prescription NSAI's help your pain, please be careful.

They

are notorious for causing ulcers and bleeding. I went several months with only

Tylenol for pain, but last time I saw my physician he said I could use

Ibuprofen,

but carefully and not for many days at a time. (I took the Relefan every day

for

four months before the bleed.)

PS, redheads are know to have a tendency to bleed easier.
