Guest guest
Bill, Sounds encouraging. Keep us posted - Mirapex may not be the answer forever - is Requip metabolized in the liver, as is Mirapex? ne, 59, Lawrenceville, NJ --- Bckrich@... wrote: > From: Bckrich@... > > After very bad experiences with Mirapex and Permax, > I'm doing great with > Requip. Guest guest
I have been taking Requip for over a year now. It has worked very well, but i am trying to " get off " this now. I know that may sound strange, since it does work, but i need to be able to not take it for a while. While it works, you also CAN'T not take it once you start. I have cut my dosage way down, but I don't know if I can ever get completely off. I would not be able to make it with the lower dosage if I was not taking Hydrocodone. How much, or how long can I take that though ? You all have given me wonderful advice on this, but I'm thinking, " Hey, I'll need this or something EVERY night. " I'm having to change Sleep Drs. due to insurance, so as soon as i do this and find out how " knowledgable " they are, perhaps they can help to guide me in this. I can not report any " bad " side effects while taking Requip and it did not quit working. I would say to those of you who have an interest in taking this that it is well worth trying as long as you know you can't just STOP, " cold turkey " . BTW , Please don't worry about sending a post you regret. I seriously doubt that there is anyone in this group that hasn't said, at one time or another, " Why did I send that ?!! " .
