I would just like to second Joan's caveat about the

Urban Legends and add the HIV needle stick U.L. that

has found many incarnations in cyberspace. See this

I also highly recommend the Miningco site for

information on this sort of thing. I've seen a very

large number of these things come across the RLS list

over the years. About 95% of dire warnings like these

are hoaxes. (Who can guess why people do this!) So,

if you get a message that warns of some hidden danger,

and especially if it's one implores you to pass the

message on to others, you can pretty much bet it's
