Guest guest
Yes! Terry Schaack, MD, is familiar with CMT. He is one of my doctors. Sellman, MD is another one. Neither one likes surgery as an option - and they are good, good men. Email me at liliwigg@... and I will give you their phones and addresses if you want. And yes, I had surgery for CMT feet when I was 10. That is the only foot surgery I have needed thus far. I had the tendon surgery, both feet, one entire summer, hard casts only back then. I don't know what type of CMT I have or how 'severe' my case is. But I am 47, still walking and active, if that helps. The doctor who did the foot surgery was Dr. Urist in Westwood, but I think he is deceased now.
