Hi, all!

They gave me Phenergen after I had back surgery. I was kind of out of it

with the morphine pump, which made me positively nauseated, so really,

without me realizing it, they gave me a shot of good ol' Phenergen! Bad

mistake. They,(and they includes anyone within earshot) got a crash

course on RLS. A nurse said, " Oh is that what this means on your chart? "

I'm amazed it made it to the chart! Anyway, I was nice about it, but I

told them I would rather puke my guts out, than have another shot of

Phenergen. " Well, we really can't let you do that. " Oh, yes, they did.

Anyway, as far as food, I have done an elimination diet for my

migraines, and surprise, a lot of the same foods that aggravate my

migraines, aggravate the RLS! That would be the usual chocolate,

alcohol,(especially red wine), caffiene. I generally try to stay away

from sugar, which is kind of inconvenient, because aspartame definitely

kicks off the migraines;don't know if it does the RLS , because it's

been so long since I had a diet soda. I eat chicken or fish 2 or 3 times

a week, and basically a vegetarian diet most of the time. I think I

stopped eating the red meat when I found out I have hereditary high

cholesterol, but I do think it has helped me overall; that one I am not

sure on. LOL

I am pretty sure ice cream, frozen yogurt, etc. causes my legs to go a

little crazy. Again, the sugar!

Later,

Donna/Vt
