Guest guest
Yes, Charlene...it makes sense. Everything you said makes sense. Usually I can tell the difference between when I decide to move my legs or when they move themselves...but sometimes it's a VERY close call. Those are the times when even if it IS voluntary, there aren't any real choices but to move. So it doesn't really matter...I MOVE!!! It also made sense, when you said concentration worked before the RLS got going, but not afterwards. Well....actually...that wasn't quite clear. I think what you meant (this is the case with me, anyhow), is that if you feel it coming on, you can sometimes stay ahead of it, warding it off, by concentrating or moving, or just changing your position or thoughts. But once it gets going, and god forbid starts involving muscles or starts that panic feeling, then there's no amount of concentration that will work. I agree. That's were Zero Tolerance is so important. If at all possible, stop the RLS attack immediately. Even if you are practicing concentration, or using music, or sucking on a sucker...if the RLS is winning and getting worse, maybe after 3-5 minutes, just drop the darn sucker, shut off the music and start moving around!! Don't do the General Custer thing and wait around for the massacre. You'll loose. BTW, Charlene....I was just missing you, the other day. Glad to hear you're still out there, although I had this secret wish that you haven't have RLS for months and just flew the coop. Oh well.
