Gretchen,

I lived a relatively active life with CMT (cheerleading, dancing, etc.)

until my first pregnancy. That threw me into a rapid decline. The

pregnancy was difficult, though, as I wasn't able to keep anything down

for most of the pregnancy and lost alot of nutrition. I was on meds for

the nausea and also had my gallbladder removed at 20 weeks of preg. The

baby is now a gifted 5 year old boy who knew every state and their

capital at age 2, and now reads and writes at a 6th grade level,

although he is in kindergarten! Relieved to know that the trauma didn't

affect him, and he so far shows no sign of CMT (knock on wood!). I had

foot problems by age 3 and walked tippy-toed by then. I pray every day

that both my boys continue to stay healthy.

Subject: Kinds of stresses

Hi everyone, you have all said from time to time that stress is a big

contributing factor to the ups and downs of CMT. Can anyone give me

concrete examples of these 'certain stresses', like whether it is

work/career, the kids, husband/wife, dealing with pain, a car accident,

a death in the family, moving to a new town, new house, whatever, etc?

Thank you all for your insight!

Gretchen
