There are no restrictions to prescribing a drug once it has been

approved by the FDA. As long as the efficacy of the drug is supported by

decent clinical evidence, its use is not restricted to the approved

indication. Off-label use is perfectly acceptable, if justified. In my

opinion, the use of dopamine-active drugs in the treatment of RLS is

justified and often effective. If someone feels differently, for

whatever reason, that is up to them and they should act accordingly.
