Guest guest
Hi hang in there, the pain will get better, but it takes a long time. I found that it seems you have the surgery for one problem and it starts another, so what I am saying is there is no way out. I had a little more surgery then you about a year ago. March on left foot and Sept. on right foot. I find my feet get so tired now and they get hot ,but not much swelling any more. The swelling goes away about 6-8 months .Wear open shoes, not tight on your feet, that helps, also keep them up when ever you can and massage them with cream also helps. Did you have both done at same time?? that is hard I hear. I think my problem now is the pins in my feet. Next January I will go in and get them taken out if the pain keeps up, so maybe that is hurting you also. The bottom line is, I think we will always have some pain one thing or another. I feel the surgery was so worth it since now I can at least put on shoes and not look so deformed (my feet turned out bad). I do not fall as much, which is a god sent to me since I spent more time falling then anything(its been a year now) and the pain is much less then trying to walk on feet that turn out. Also think about how bad things would get as you get older, that was my worry. So keep the faith, if you weigh thing out in your mind, think positive ,the pain won't seem so bad,you have been threw the worst of it, the surgery, the rest takes time but will pass. good luck to you Monika Footpain after surgery Hello everybody, as a lot of you know I had the tendon transfer and the tendon lengthening done in January. Nearly three weeks ago I started working again and since then I have more problems with my feet. After one day of sitting in the office they are swollen. Ok, I know that this is normal and to avoid it I use bandages for compression. The pain is bearable. But two days ago the weather changed from sunny, warm wheater into rainy, too warm weather. And now I can' t stand the pain anymore. My whole feet hurt, the tendons hurt and even if I am laying in bed the pain won' t stop. What experinece did those of you make who also had the surgery? And how long where your feet swollen?? Bye, ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guest guest
Thank you , yes both feet were done at the same time but that was not so bad. Today I have seen my doctor because of the pain of the last days and he told me this would be all right after the surgery. They doctors who had done the surgery told me the feet will be swollen for about 6 months but I think 8 months is more realistic. I hope they won' t get swollen in December anymore because then we will go to Cuba and the temperature there is a little bit higher than here :-) Bye, JR & MONICA WRIGHT schrieb: > Hi hang in there, the pain will get better, but it takes a long time.
