Guest guest
Hello everyone, here is a story in my newspaper today about homechoice/affordable mortages and the disabled. http:///www.latimes.com/print/real estate the story is the first one called " Finding the House Key " . Also here is the DelWebb housing site http://www.delwebb.com and the suncity homes site http://www.suncity.com there had been some discussion last week about these, so I finally found Net sites. There are communities in several states. Lastly, and this is just for people in California, home buyers have the opportunity to receive down payment assistance from a local non-profit organization. Affordable Housing USA (and I can't find a site for them) provides down payment grants to first time home buyers that earn less than $95,000 a year. The grants do not have to be repaid. This is called 'The California Dream Program' and enables a first time home buyer to buy a home in the state with as little as $1,000 down payment. Here is the address to request info: AHUSA, 601 Daily Drive, Suite 2061, Camarillo, California 93010. Sorry, but I don't have a phone number for them either. A friend of mine sent me this article she found in a magazine. Gretchen
