Guest guest
Attention: SurSiliImp@... I read your letter about folic acid, B12 and ferritin, and I'd like to ask one question: What strength folic acid is generaly used? The other day my doc gave me a Rx for folic acid l mg (at least his scribble looks like 1 mg), in quantity of 100, to take 1 a day. I see Folic Acid in the stores at 400 mcg. at $5.00 for 250. I'm just wondering if I take 2 l/2 of the 400 mcg whether it is the same as taking the Rx of 1 mg. Prescriptions are usually more expensive, and you have to go through the bother of having the doctor okay a refill. But maybe Rx folic acid has more in it than the over-the-counter kind. I'd kind of like to know. Also, are there any side effects to taking folic. I'm trying to find something that will help me regain some of the memory that seems to have taken a walk since I began the RLS medication, and to regain some energy. Right now I feel like lifting my arm or standing or crossing a room is a major undertaking!!! Also, I noticed that my legs, from about the calf down, feel like frozen stumps, though the feet are relatively warm when I touch them. In other words, poor circulation, and if I remember correctly, Folic Acid helped with that too. Thanks for any info.
