For dress shoes you might try this company http://www.dressease.com I am

not sure if they are out West or just on the eastcoast. I personally

have never tried them. My lifestyle is such I don't need dress shoes. I

absolutely love New Balance 752 or 753 Cross Trainers. They work well

with my orthotics.

For pain: I still think Elavil(amitriptyline) is by far the best and it

seems to work for me best.It is an older, tried and proven med for nerve

pain, besides depression. And it helps my balance. I tried Neurontin for

1 year. Just quit taking it. Very expensive, had to keep taking it

through the day ( what a pain) and also, while in SOME cases it does

help with nerve pain, recently I found some negative articles which made

me think about quitting it. Neither one knocks me out. I have also taken

Robaxin this year. Good for muscle relaxant. You can drive on Robaxin

too. It won't knock you out. Tylenol Extra Strength Gel Caps work well

for me too. I have taken Anaprox for years and quit taking it, but it

worked for awhile.

I swim, walk, bike and garden when I can. Also play piano, work at home

as a writer. But my Dr. has 'grounded' me from the exercise due to a

disc problem in my lower back. I am in the midst of this. It's been 5

months. Had 3 epidural cortisone injections, only worked about 35%. In

addition I swear the cortisone kicked off my tremor problems. I am 47.
