Guest guest
Hi, My Mom said to tell you the warning on Mirapex to talk to your doctor if you develop a cold or cold like symptoms is only for those who are taking Sinemet, which she does, and Mirapex. The booklet Mom has for Parkinson's patients on Mirapex says, " In general, the most common side effects of Mirapex, include nausea, dizziness, and sleepiness in patients with early Parkinson's disease and postural hypotension, or low blood pressure, impaired voluntary movements and motor activities, and insomnia and dizziness in patients with advanced Parkinson's Disease. Hypotension may occur more frequently during initial therapy, especially when you get up from a sitting or lying position. Hallucinations have also been reported, and the elderly are at a higher risk than younger patients with Parkinson's Disease.... Because Mirapex can cause drowsiness, you should not drive a car or operate other complex machinery until you know how Mirapex will affect you. Your doctor should be notified if you become pregnant, or intend to become pregnant, during therapy, or if you are breast-feeding. Taking Mirapex with food may reduce nausea. Anyone seen a booklet for those taking Mirapex only for RLS? Barbara
