Re: Mirapex & Nasal Congestion; Help!

Hal,

My Mom who started on Mirapex about two months ago but because she also has

Parkinson's, she has worked up to 1 mg I think 3 times a day. She has been

experiencing stuffiness to no end for two weeks. Wondered how many other

Mirapex users are having this trouble even though on much lower dose? At first

we thought maybe it was a cold, shuffling through paperwork trying to get her

income taxes together, etc., but have run out of excuses for what is causing

it other then maybe the Mirapex.

My Mom called Upjohn as they noted in a booklet to consult your doctor if you

have this symptom. He was at a total loss as to what she was even talking

about but I found that in the booklet on Mirapex he gave her, also. Upjohn, of

course, has to be very thorough on any possible reported adverse reaction and

called her twice so she got all excited and cut back her dosage, but still no

abatement of the nasal extreme stuffiness.

Thanks for any reports anyone has on this side effect!
