Guest guest
Hi Peggie! I, too, have had knees popping out and surgeries on both for that reason. My last surgery was in Feb. and the Dr. said that my lower leg bone that is supposed to hold the knee in place was worn flat from dislocations. It got to the point that when it did dislocate, there was no pain. I would push it back it, get up, and go on! So nevertheless, that surgery in Feb was useless. Until they have 'leg-bone' transplants, my knee is useless. I did find an excercise which is beneficial in keeping the knee in place. Take a child's ball (the cheap WalMart kickballs) and lie on your back, knees bent. Place ball between knees and squeeze ball and hold for 5 secs. Do these as much as you can, like while watching tv, etc. Take care not to overdo... Really stabilizes the knee! Good luck!
