Guest guest
alisha here, first of all welcome natilee. to tell u a bit about myself i am 16!!! i live in canada and have x-linked cmt. i was diagnosed in 1997 by EMG and DNA testing. i use a walker Sam to get around only for mobility but everyone else in the entire school thinks that i can't walk without it though expect for my friends. i also sometimes use a wheel chair. i am now dealing with cmt, depression, memory loss and loss of conentration. for the memory loss and loss of conentration i don't know what is causing it but i hope to find out. i am on 150mg of effexor an anti-depressant. i am able to drive and have great friends to support me now. i belong to other cmt lists and its great b/c so much is talked about and u can learn so much more about yourself and the cmt. i have a psychologist and tomorrow i go for an urgent constilation (sp?) for a psychriast (sp?). i feel that my depression is getting worse and i can't control my life. my relationship w/ my parents has just gone chaotic (sp?). we justor should i say i just can't talk to them and its really hard right now for me. i have exams coming up at the end of the month and w/ the memory problems i could fail or get incompletes on them and may never get through high school. i then may not be able to finish schooling and become a genetic councellor. this is now so hard for me to go through and i have a boyfriend i guess u could say but its over the internet b/c no real guy can accept me for who i am. so many problem sorry to bore u all .
