Mag. and Disability

Hello All,

I thought I'd weigh in on the mineral/electrolyte stuff. Last summer

when I went to see Dr. Bruce Ehrenburg ( he's on the Medical Advisory

Board w/ RLS Foundation )in Boston, he suggested using Mag. @ 500mg bid

and also a good multi-vitamin. All my other labs were good, to include

Ferritin, and since I have this problem with adverse side-affects using

alot of these meds, he thought it would be a good idea. Dr. Ehrenburg

said that there were studies suggesting that the use of Mag. at the dose

he prescibed for me, had shown good results in alot of people. Of course

with my luck, or should I say lack of , it didn't work. BUT, if any of

you are suffering from constipation from meds or whatever, this will

take care of that!!! It's worth a try any how. Alot of these supplements

are expensive and I am not in the position to try/experiment with them

at this time, I'm sticking with my muti-vitamin for now.

I don't want to drift away from my subject heading so let me get on

with my next subject which is Disability. I received in the mail on

Friday, my second denial-reconsideration. So now it will go on to the

JUDGE !! I was told in the letter from my lawyer that this could take

several months, blah, blah, blah. So, it's time for me to wipe my tears

and start writing to those people who want to get re-elected, such as

Sen. Chaffee, etc.

I have to admit that this process needs perfecting and I'm tired of

hearing that the wait in some part is intentional to " weed out the

frauds " .To me that is not exceptable. Who suffers, those that need it.

I suppose that people have become so complacent with these " rules " that

our Government sets forth that govern our lives in every aspect, we have

allowed them more and more power over us. I personnally resent the fact

that I have to pay a lawyer 25% of my Disability payments, because if I

don't have counsel, I'll get screwed. Why? Sorry, I have alot of

questions and no answers. Please nobody write me and tell me that's the

way the system works, because it's wrong. Look at all the changes in

welfare,etc. People started complaining about the abuses in the system.

Someone ahead of you buying Lobster, while you're buying hamburger

helper. Things can change. And for the better.
