Guest guest
Hi, I also haven't ever heard anyone describe what my RLS feels like. I did try one night to kill two birds with one stone so to speak, I decided to really concentrate on something and also figure out if my legs felt like I had a bottle brush going up and down inside them! LOL! ( thanks to Jill for both ideas ) Well, it didn't put me to sleep and I still can't get a really good grip on how to describe my RLS. I guess when I have tried in the past I would say to people, they just won't hold still or I feel like I could run fifty miles with that one leg. My legs just won't hold still. My husband one night tried to rub my leg it was a really bad night ( would have had to have been to wake him up) and he said he could feel it in my leg. He described it like a wave that my muscle would tense and move up from my calf into my thigh. Well anyway.....no exploding knees here. I also want to add that I am just today getting an awful headcold and my legs starting twitching during a movie I was trying to watch about a half hour ago. I haven't had any trouble for days. Dang Oh well just took a loratab.. too sick to try and fight the legs tonight. Sweet dreams everyone, Raine

Guest guest
Raine, I've also tried to " feel exactly " what my RLS is other than the exploding knees. No creepy crawlies, just the above and some pain in my knees, calves, and ankles that I think is related to being on my feet or bending down, squatting a lot during the day. I do feel an electric shock through my legs and sometimes my body if I don't move and allow my legs to jerk. I cannot rest my elbows on a hard surface because it hurts and feels " funny " . But I don't know if that is related. The other night I was stretched out reading and my 9 yr. old came in and lay across my knees. My first reaction was to protect my knees until I realized how good it felt - all that pressure on my knees felt great so I let him lay there for a few minutes. Of course he didn't stay long - too much for a 9 yr. old to do! Good sleeps tonight Lynn GA
