Guest guest
Corrie, welcome! I am glad you are with us, and thanks for the nice introduction! Being a nurse practitioner and physician assistant (now retired from both), and having written maybe thousands of prescriptions, I can tell you that we or the docs didn't recommend herbals to patients because 1) there is still so little known about their use (i.e.dosages, side effects, etc, and 2) you have no idea how the drug reps manipulate and push you to use their stuff, and 3) it might even be called malpractice. The FDA is, at last, realizing how they have goofed in not testing the herbal remedies and are starting to do something about it. But it may be years before herbals slowly creep into usage by traditional medicine. I used to recommend simple things to my patients, but it just never got back to the docs, or they might have had a fit! am, 76, Tucson ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
