Guest guest
Hi Rose-Marie, I have CMT along time and over the years had extreme pain from time to time, sometimes longer than others, and sometimes the pain changed, and sometimes not. I guess I do not tolerate pain well and along time ago came to accept that. Although while I was in high school, doctors were reluctant to give me pain medication. Once I was adult, I found that when I had relief from pain, the quality of my life greatly improved. And in my case that includes taking medication and also doing things like hot baths, relaxing, letting stress go, pacing myself in activities, massage, doing fun things, etc. I hope you can find a new doctor maybe who will listen to you and realize that there IS pain with CMT!!!!! And not just in a person's feet! Gretchen
Guest guest
Dear , There are no decent pain management doctors in the upstate of SC. There are several money hungry leeches working together in the Carolinia Center and they work about 4 counties including NC. I would not want them working on my worst enemy. There is one in SC but I know very little of them. If worst comes to worse then I will check them out. But as for as Greenville, Spartanburg, Gaffney, and Asheville goes, I would rather have the pain than these so called pain doctors. If you get a good one other than these quacks, please remember me and help me out with the information. I know of one of these quacks that should be locked up before he hurts someone very bad. I am near this point right now and may file charges as soon as I get 100% away from this torture. There is no need for a doctor to cause more problems than the original problem of Chronic Pancreatitis to start with! They seem to only want to prove that you are going to die. With doctors like this, who needs enemies? Thanks, > Found this trying to find a decent pain management specialist in SC. Guest guest
If anyone wants to travel to The Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) for pain management, I can recommend some people. Please PEM me for info, since I will not give Docs names out over a public list because of all the bru-haha going on with DEA. Good physicians are getting nailed by these morons and I will not contribute to it.
