No, I'm not whining

I have just spent the most miserable night in a long time. Nope, it's not my

legs. It's my right arm. I've tried every remedy I could think of to relieve

that awful feeling to no avail. Been awake since 1:30. There's no use in

trying to get any more sleep. The restlessness extends from my shoulder to my

wrist. Amputation seems like the only solution but then I'm sure I'd get

phantom RLS.

To hell with it. I'm going downstairs and take Mr. Biggles out for his early

morning sniff-about. Then I'm going to make myself a hot drink of some kind.

Rotten weather predicted for the next few days. Wonder if that could have

brought on the arm problem. You know, how animals start acting weird when a

storm approaches or how a corn acts up with a change in the barometric pressure?

Nah, too simple a solution.

Anyhow you all have a good day. Keep well, do good work and KEEP IN TOUCH!

Cheers!

Jeanne, It's OK if you whine! You are always so up-beat, that even your

" whining " sounds positive! Also, being an animal person, I always enjoy

reading about your adventures with Mr. Biggles. You probably told us

before, but I don't remember what kind of a dog he is. He's sure a lucky

pup to have you as his person. This arm business does not sound like

fun. Is it even more annoying than the legs? I've not had that (yet),

but the legs have not been good lately. I also like to blame it on the

weather. Here in NJ it's cold, then warm, and overcast most of the time.

Vermont at least is pretty in the winter! We ski about once a month

there, and the scenery alone uplifts my spirits.

Hang in there, and give Mr. Biggles a hug for me!

I'm not sure where the original email went, so I'm posting to the list.

The weather - animals - and RLS people.....yes there is most decidely a

connection. Animals do sense weather changes and things and I know that I have

to wrap my foot real tight when its gonna rain, snow, turn sunny, ect.

Usually my wonderful Mirapex takes care of things but not when the barometer is

gonna change. I know what is gonna happen days before the weatherman.

Yes, I also have the RLS in my right arm. I'm always afraid to wrap it real

tight to go to sleep so most of the time I make a very tight fist and shove my

hand under the pillow with my head pressing down on it...sometimes it works.

Sorry about your bad night. Within two weeks I've been hospitalized for

pneumonia, my husband fell and sprained his ankle, and just yesterday my son

slipped on the ice at college and broke his ankle in three places. He had

surgery now he sports a plate with six screws and two more screws on another

break, and one VERY long titanium screw holding a piece of his ankle bone

together that he broke completely off! Needless to say, the Mirapex is working

double time at this household. Hopefully since things come in threes - we are

done for this year!
